Jackfield Tile Museum

Ironbridge Gorge

Jackfield Tile Museum is one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums. We were asked to create a digital interpretive display for more than 1600 tiles without cluttering the space with individual object labels, letting the collection take centre stage.

We designed a bespoke kiosk with a multi-touch screen and intuitive search function to make it easy to explore the extensive collection of beautiful tiles. Visitors can search by category, manufacturer, designer, technique, keyword and colour.

“Heritage Interactive were flexible, professional and able to meet our needs. Software was specifically developed for the collection we were interpreting, including a very intuitive content management system, and bespoke housing for the interpretation screen were designed and commissioned. A high degree of support was provided when installing and carrying out initial trails. In all, it was a pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic and professional team.”
