THE POSTAL MUSEUM, LONDON

Working closely with the Museum’s curatorial team and their exhibition designers, we developed a suite of digital, AV and audio exhibits to tell the story of the Royal Mail’s history.

MAIL COACH CHALLENGE

In our Mail Coach game, the visitor takes on the role of a mail coach guard from the 1800s – navigating their way through a number of challenges. Given a lack of archive assets and the client’s desire to capture a sense of drama, we worked with a Marvel comics artist to present this game as an interactive comic strip with multiple choice questions at each stage.

POST OFFICE IN CONFLICT

For this projected AV we sourced a combination of still and moving imagery to work alongside their ‘Angel of Death’ motorcycle display. To help create more atmosphere we also featured period music taken from original 78” records that were out of copyright.

POST BUS GAME

This interactive game challenges visitors to collect the mail from around the local area and deliver it to the station before the train departs.

To capture the community spirit of the post bus we based route details on original timetables and worked with a GPO volunteer to research real-life scenarios for the gameplay.

DESIGN YOUR OWN STAMP

Our Design Your Own Stamp photo opportunity is one of the most popular exhibits at the Museum. Visitors can appear on their own stamp by taking their photograph and adding a series of fun accessories. On completion of their design, visitors can email their designs home or share them on social media.
